Resize a tablix data region in the Bold Reports^® Web Report Designer

To improve report readability in the Bold Reports^® Web Report Designer, you can resize the height and width of a specific column, a row, or the whole tablix data region.

How do I resize the overall data region?

You resize a whole Bold Reports^® tablix data region with the resizer on the selection line or with the Height and Width properties in the properties panel.

Resize using resizer

The tablix resizer in the Web Report Designer changes the height, the width, or both proportionally.

Change height property:

To change the height of the tablix region, place the mouse pointer in the CenterTop or CenterBottom position of the tablix selection line.

Use CenterBottom to increase the height in the downward direction or to decrease it in the upward direction.

Use CenterTop to increase the height in the upward direction or to decrease it in the downward direction.

Change width property:

To change the width of the tablix region, place the mouse pointer in the RightCenter or LeftCenter position of the tablix selection line.

Use RightCenter to resize the width outward or inward on the right side.

Use LeftCenter to resize the width outward or inward on the left side.

Change width and height proportionally:

1. Select the tablix data region in the design area.
2. Place the mouse pointer in the LeftTop, RightTop, LeftBottom, or RightBottom position on the data region. The resizer arrow is enabled in that position, as shown in the following image.
3. Hold and drag the resizer arrow. The tablix data region resizes proportionally in all directions.

Set width and height in table properties

You can set an exact tablix size in the Web Report Designer properties panel.

1. Select a tablix data region. The properties panel lists its item properties.
2. In the properties panel, modify the Height and Width properties of the tablix data region.

How do I resize a column?

You resize a Bold Reports^® tablix column with the column gripper, the cell Width property, or the touch resizer.

Set column width using gripper

To set the column width with the gripper, follow these steps:

1. Place the mouse pointer on the column border.
2. Drag the column gripper horizontally to adjust the column width.

Set column width in cell properties

To set the column width in the properties panel, follow these steps:

1. Select a cell in the tablix data region. The properties panel lists the cell item properties.
2. In the properties panel, modify the Width property of the cell.

Using touch resizer

To increase or decrease the column width with the touch resizer, Tap the column gripper on the screen. A bubble appears on the right side of the column, as shown in the following image.

Drag the bubble horizontally to adjust the column width.

You resize a Bold Reports^® tablix row with the row gripper, the cell Height property, or the touch resizer.

Set row height using gripper

To set the row height with the gripper, follow these steps:

1. Place the mouse pointer on the row border.
2. Drag the row gripper vertically upward or downward to adjust the row height.

Set row height in cell properties

To set the row height in the properties panel, follow these steps:

1. Select a cell in the tablix data region. The properties panel lists the cell item properties.
2. In the properties panel, modify the Height property of the cell.

Using touch resizer

To increase or decrease the row height with the touch resizer, Tap the row gripper on the screen. A bubble appears at the bottom of the row, as shown in the following image.

Drag the bubble vertically to adjust the row height.
