Prerequisites

Before you download and install the Crystal Report to SSRS Converter, confirm that your machine meets the requirements below. The converter relies on the Crystal Reports Runtime to read .rpt files, so installing it first avoids validation errors during setup.

System requirements

  • Operating system: Windows (64-bit recommended).
  • Crystal Reports Runtime: required to read and process .rpt files. Download the version that matches your system architecture from the SAP website.
  • .NET SDK 4.8 or later: required to run the converter application. Download it from the .NET SDK 4.8 page if it isn’t already installed.

Considerations

  • If the Crystal Reports Runtime isn’t installed when you launch the installer, setup detects the missing package and displays a validation error with a download link before continuing. See Download and Installation for the full flow.
  • Install the Crystal Reports Runtime version that matches your system architecture (x64 or x86) to avoid runtime validation failures.
