How to change the parameter data type

This section explains the steps to change the datatype of an existing Report parameter in Bold Reports^® Designer.

1. Open the report in Bold Reports^® Designer.

2. In the configuration panel, click on the Parameters icon to open the PARAMETERS panel.

   

3. Hover the cursor on the parameter which you want to edit from the list of parameters.

   

4. Click the menu icon in the right corner, to open the context menu.

   

5. Choose Edit from the context menu, it will launch the EDIT PARAMETER panel.

   

6. Change the value under Data Type dropdown.

   

7. If the parameter has available and default values, the below confirmation dialog will appear.

   

8. Clicking Yes will discard the available and default values defined for the respective parameter and lets the datatype change. Then click Save. Now the parameter type will be changed.
