Where can I generate a token in Cloud Reporting?

In Bold Reports® Cloud, you generate a personal access token from the Personal Access Token tab of your Profile page in the Report Server.

  1. Click the Profile icon in the Bold Reports® Report Server. Profile icon selected in the Report Server

  3. Select the required duration from the dropdown for token expiration. Token expiration duration dropdown on the Personal Access Token tab

  4. Click the Generate Token button, then confirm your choice by selecting Yes in the dialog box. Generate Token confirmation dialog with the Yes option

  5. Copy the generated authentication token and use it for embedding. Generated personal access token ready to copy for embedding

Can I use the personal access token in REST API requests?

Yes. This token can authenticate REST API requests and other interactions with the Report Server, as well as embedding.

Where do I find the Personal Access Token tab?

Click the Profile icon in the Report Server. The Personal Access Token tab is on the Profile page.

Can I generate a token without the Report Server UI?

Yes. Cloud Reporting also issues tokens through the Authentication API with user credentials and through the Embed Secret Key API.
